WSOP 2021: Walton Bags Lead On Day 1F Of The Main Event; Kunal Punjwani, Yudhishter Jaswal, Muskan Sethi, Ankit Ahuja & Siddharth Karia Among Survivors

The sixth and final flight of the 2021 WSOP Event #67: $10K Main Event World Championship is in the books. Following 5 levels and 12 hours, Day 1F drew 1,045 players on Tuesday, and only 782 advanced to Day 2CEF. Adam Walton topped the Day 1F survivors with a massive stack of 334,000. The majority of his chips came from two hands against Frederic Normand, one where Walton forced Normand to fold and the other when his kings bested Normand’s ace-king in the last level of the flight.

Some other big stacks included Tung Nguyen who finished with 328,200. Hannes Speiser (282,100), Ryan Hartmann (243,000), Christopher Fischer (219,000), Terence Clee (218,700), Michael Mizrachi (212,300), Jonas Lauck (210,900), Barry Greenstein (166,800), GGPoker Ambassador Fedor Holz (161,600), and David Pham (153,800) were among the other notables to advance to Day 2CEF.

Team India

Several Indians entered the flight, and five among them advanced, with Kunal Punjwani (149,500) leading them in chips. Punjwani has seven WSOP scores to his name, worth a cumulative $100,072. His most significant WSOP cash was a 7th  place finish worth $74,401 in Event 82: $1,500 NLHE Double Stack at the 2019 WSOP and he will now be looking to surpass his previous scores.

The husband-wife duo of Yudhishter Jaswal (85,000) and Muskan Sethi (84,700) bagged almost even stacks to Day 2CEF. The 2020 PokerStars LIVE Red Dragon Manila ₱250K Red Dragon High Roller champion Ankit Ahuja (75,500) and Siddharth Karia (39,500) were the other Indians to advance to Day 2CEF. They all will be joining Day 1E qualifier Kalyan Chakravarthy (156,600) for Day 2CEF on Wednesday.
