WSOP 2022: Dash Dudley Wins His 3rd Bracelet After Coming Back From 3BB Stack In Event #62: $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty; India’s Yudhishter Jaswal Cashes

Event #62: $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty NLH event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2022 was slated to be a one day-day affair. However, due to the massive field of 2,569 entrants who generated a $3,429,615prize pool, an extra day was needed to close things out. The final 20 players returned on Thursday to play down to a winner, and after five hours of intense action, Michigan’s Dash Dudley came out on top to claim a massive $301,396 top prize and his third career WSOP gold bracelet.

Dudley’s previous WSOP bracelet victories include winning  the 2019 WSOP Event #52: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed for $1,086,967 and the WSOP Europe Event #2: €500 PLO for €51,600.

This was Dudley’s fourth cash at the WSOP 2022. Earlier this summer, Dudley finished runner-up in Event #28: $50,000 High Roller PLO for $861,442. The latest win took his live earnings to $3,065,227.

“Feeling amazing. This is the story you dream of,” Dudley said in post bracelet victory interview. “Three blinds left to start the day with 20 players left and somehow catch enough heat to get here and then close it out for number three. That was the goal this summer so it feels amazing.”

The tournament paid out the top 386 players out of 2,569 entrants. Plenty of big guns finished ITM among them, with Elvis Toomas (11th for $21,692), Kerrie Shelton (13th for $17,249), Mihai Manole (14th for $13,841), and Chris Fraser (16th  for $13,841) falling short of the coveted final table.

Ken Drewry was the first player to exit the final table after three-bet jamming with pocket sevens against the open of Jan Bednar who held aces. Not long after, Dimitre Dimitrov went out with his ace-queen losing against the pocket kings of John Bredengerd. Kevin Davis was the next to fall with his Jack-ten losing to pocket sevens of Jan Bednar who hit a full house on the turn and collected the bounty of Davis. A little later, it was Japan’s Yuhei Sanada, who bowed out in sixth place.

Harpreet Padda was ousted in a three-way pot when he and Sanchez shared a king-jack and both lost to Dudley’s ace-king. Up next, Jan Bednar was eliminated in fourth place when his A-J failed to beat the A-K of David Sanchez. Going out in third place was John Bredengerd who ran his 4d  3d into the Qc 6s of Sanchez who made two pairs to win the pot and bust  Bredengerd from the FT.

Sanchez began heads-up with a slight chip lead over Dudley, but the latter moved ahead before the final hand was dealt. Finally, Sanchez jammed the button with king-jack only to run into Dudley’s king-queen. The better hand prevailed and Sanchez had to settle for the runner-up payout of $186,258.
